INFORMATION NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

The Luxembourg Red Cross attaches the utmost importance to the respect of your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This notice is intended to inform you of the use made of the personal data we collect, as well as the rights you have.

WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?

Your personal data are collected and processed by the HIV Berodung service of the Luxembourg Red Cross in order to manage the e-learning training course, issuing a certificate of participation where applicable, and compiling statistics.

This processing is based on your consent or on the legitimate interest pursued by the Luxembourg Red Cross, in particular as regards the compilation of statistics.

WHAT TYPES OF DATA ARE COLLECTED?

In accordance with the law, the HIV Berodung service of the Luxembourg Red Cross collects only such data as required for the performance of its tasks. These data are generally those that you have communicated to us. Other data may be generated or collected in the course of your relationship with the Luxembourg Red Cross. The data collected for online training are:

  • identification data (surname and forename);
  • contact details (email address);
  • login data (IP address, cookies)

HOW LONG ARE YOUR DATA KEPT?

Your data are kept for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.

Your account is valid for a maximum of 2 years. If your account is inactive for 1 year, your data, including your training certificate, will be deleted.

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH?

Your data is treated confidentially and are shared with third parties only as and where such sharing is useful, necessary and in accordance with the law. Such third parties may include service providers, particularly in the case of IT outsourcing. In the latter case, we ensure that your data are stored and processed in the European Union.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

In accordance with the law, you have the following rights:

  • The right to information. We hope this notice has answered your questions.
  • The right to access your data.
  • The right to rectify your data if they are incorrect or out of date.
  • The right to withdraw your consent at any time.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD) --- You can't use shortcodes inside element --- if you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the law.

In certain cases and under the conditions laid down by law, you also have the following rights:

  • The right to request the erasure of your data.
  • The right to request the restriction of the processing of your data.
  • The right to object to the processing of your data on legitimate grounds.
  • The right to portability of the data you have provided to us (i.e. the right to receive your personal data on a machine-readable medium), insofar as technically feasible.
